Happy Tennessean!

I am a happy Tennessean! As a resident of TN-8, I am pleased that we replaced Demonrat Tanner with Republican Stephen Fincher. I was afraid that Independent Donn Janes would split the conservative/republican vote and get Demonrat Herron elected, but I think there were many of his “supporters” that decided not to be purists and risk electing a Demonrat.

I am disappointed ~but not surprised~ that Pelosi lap dog Cohen wasn’t defeated in TN-9, but he’s definitely been neutered. I knew that Charlotte Bergmann was a long shot, but I was hoping for a miracle. People who live off the taxpayers should not be able to vote themselves a raise.

Tennessee was one of the governorships that flipped from Demonrat to Republican. I hope that Bill Haslam will do Tennessee proud.

All in all a great night for Tennessee and the country.

TN Ground Report - Election Day 2010

TN Ground Report

It’s a great day here in Memphis! The Memphis area is represented by 3 different Congressional districts: TN-7,8, and 9. The 7th & 8th districts run east to west in the state while the 9th district is most of Memphis.

I am in the 8th district and our Congressman, John Tanner, is a “blue dog” Dem who saw the writing on the wall and is retiring, hence it’s an open seat. I think the Republican primary here was one of the most expensive in the country. The Republican candidate is a farmer named Stephen Fincher. The local Tea Party is supporting an Independent named Don Janes. The Demonrat in this race, Roy Herron, isn’t even identifying himself as a Demonrat. I wasn’t sure who I was going to vote for because I hadn’t heard much about the Independent candidate, but after a couple of back and forths on the Tea Party FB page a couple of weeks ago, I decided to vote for Fincher. Normally, I would support the party backed by the TP, but I also don’t want to split the conservative/Repub vote and elect a Demonrat either. Turns out, the TP claims that 5 of the 8 TP in the district were co-opted by the state Repub party to support Fincher and didn’t give their guy a chance. After the discussion about this, I decided to vote for Fincher. I’m fairly certain, he’ll win.

The race that is really interesting to me is TN9. The majority of the district is AA. It’s considered one of the safest districts for Dems in the country. There was a big primary race in the Dems between the present Demonrat liberal, progressive, oppressive, Steve Cohen and our former mayor “King Willie” Herenton. “King Willie” is all about race. He is the ultimate race baiter and said he ran solely because Memphis needs a black congressman. He’s right, but it just isn't him. He lost to Cohen in the primary, but now Cohen faces a Conservative AA woman named Charlotte Bergmann. Cohen is an arrogant, condescending lap dog for Pelosi. He shut down his campaign headquarters ~he said he moved it to his home ~ in August. See Here He refused to debate Charlotte Bergmann, calling her a minor candidate. It’s a long shot, but I have a feeling Cohen will be singing a different tune this evening.

The Republicans pulled out an upset in the Shelby County races in August. The Dems here are still whining about it. When Charlotte Bergmann wins tonight, it will indeed be an upset of epic proportions. I can’t wait!

Six Days and Counting!

TN 9 is considered one of the safest districts for Dems in the country. This year, a new face is shaking it up. Charlotte Bergmann and her supporters are giving Cohen a run for his money. Cohen arrogantly, would not debate Charlotte Bergmann and thought that his biggest challenge was beating former mayor "King Willie" in the primary.

The Republicans swept the County elections in August ~and the Dems cried foul!~ and we are motivated in this race. In the third quarter,Charlotte Bergmann has out raised Cohen from individual donors. Cohen has had to start running ads. If we can pull this off, it will be a huge upset. See here for how to help.

Charlotte Bergmann Can Win!

The Oppressive Leftists are running scared. They are seeing the loss of their power on November 2, and they are in meltdown mode. Here’s the latest attck on Charlotte Bergmann by the Commercial Appeal and Steve Cohen. Oppressive Leftists like Cohen and Ms. Thomas can’t comprehend the possibility that someone in the AA community can think for themselves and not be beholden to the Demoncrats. They are afraid of people like Charlotte Bergmann and Clarence Thomas because they are proof that AA can be successful without their help.

I would like to ask the AA in TN-9 a couple of questions. Please answer honestly. How have the policies of the Demoncrats helped you? Are you better off with a check from the government or would you and your kids be better off with a dad who had a job in the family? Are you happy with your kid’s school? Or have they failed to teach them reading, writing and arithmetic? Are they safe in their MCS schools? Are you afraid when your kids play outside or do you fear that a stray bullet might hit them or that some bully or gang member will beat them up? Are you really happy in your government paid for housing or would you rather have your own house in a safe neighborhood? Would you like to choose the school that your kids attend? Are you happy with the over 13 Million black babies that have been killed by abortion? That’s more than Aids, violent crimes, heart disease, accidents and cancer combined. Are you happy with the 16.1% unemployment rate in the black community?

These are the effects of the liberal policies of the Democrat party. Don’t you think it might be time rethink your support of Democrats like Steve Cohen.

Meet Charlotte Bergmann. She’s living proof that an AA woman can succeed in Memphis. Even as a single mom with 3 kids, she earned her degrees from Christian Brothers University and is now a small business owner. It can be done, even here in Memphis.

My Decision is Made

The November election is just 8 short days away. The Demonrats are pulling out all the stops in order to save their power in D.C. Hang on to your hats girls and boys, because the next few days will be bumpy.

I’m in the TN-8 Congressional district and I’ve been in a quandary about who to vote for; ~have no fear, I won’t be voting for the Demonrat, who isn’t identifying himself as such, ~ but the Mid South Tea Party is backing an independent candidate Don Janes instead of Republican Stephen Fincher. In the primary, I would back the candidate endorsed by the Tea Party, but in the general election I wasn’t so sure. I haven’t received any campaign literature and have only seen 2 signs for Janes. Over the weekend, I got into a discussion on the Mid South Tea Party Facebook page about it. They were going after the Republican Fincher about some questions with his campaign financing. I asked why Janes didn’t run in the primary and noted that he may get the Demonrat elected by splitting the conservative/Republican vote. I also linked to an excellent article by Hillbuzz about third party candidates only helping to elect Demonrats. MSTP replied with “Janes cannot win because YOU STILL TOW THE PARTY LINE...” and some comments about how the state republican party chose Fincher and co-opted 5 of the 8 Tea Parties in TN-8. They also stated that Fincher says he’s conservative, but do we really know?

I’m sure Janes is a nice person. I’m fairly certain that had he run in the Republican primary, I would have supported him, because of the backing of the Mid South Tea Party; however, I’m looking at BIG picture here. The first priority is to get the Demonrats out of power in D.C. Yes, we need to get the Cocktail Party Republicans out of D.C. also, but the way to do that is in the primary like in Delaware and Alaska.

I bet that the same people in the MSTP who are backing Janes over the Republican Fincher is upset that the moderates in the party aren’t backing Christine O'Donnell and that LeNa JaBrowski is mounting a write-in campaign because she was beaten in the primary; what they miss is that they are doing the same thing with their candidate by being purists. We have the opportunity to pick-up a seat here in TN-8. It is an open seat where the retiring CongressCritter is a Demonrat.

The Hillbuzz boyz are former Dems that see the destruction of what their party has done and are doing everything they can to elect conservative Republicans to D.C. How can we as Republicans not do the same thing for our candidates? It’s not the time to let our egos get in the way. We’ll deal with the Cocktail Party Republicans in the next few years. We must put out the fire of the Demonrats this election cycle.

What will YOU Do for November?

Here's a great post from my favorite political blog Hillbuzz.org. It's asking what I'm willing to sacrifice to help retake the country in November.

I'm in Memphis. Officially, I'm in the TN-8 congressional district, but I'm working to elect Charlotte Bergmann for TN-9 ~which is the majority of Memphis and one of the "safest" Democrat district in the country.

Here's a link to introduce you to Charlotte Bergmann.
