Tax Reform vs Simplification

Herman Cain has changed the national debate with his 9-9-9 plan. We all know that the tax code is out of control. It is no longer the vehicle to fund the federal government, but a vehicle for politicians to reward supporters and influence behavior. If they want to encourage an industry or even a company, give a tax credit; if you want less of a behavior ~i.e. smoking~ tax it more. Many Americans are upset with "capitalism" because of a perversion of it called "crony capitalism"; where companies gain favor with politicians with donations. A couple of well known examples are GE and Solyndra.

With 9-9-9; it's simple. 9% Income tax; 9% National Sales tax; 9% Corporate Tax. Here Dick Morris explains the difference between the Perry plan of a flat 20% income tax and Cain's 9-9-9 plan. I'm for a flat tax either way, but I've long been a proponent of a sales tax. Morris explains why.

Also Here is Dick Morris explaining the 9-9-9 plan.

The recent attacks on Herman Cain show that the ruling class are terrified of him. One reason is because his 9-9-9 plan would take away one of politician's tools of power.
