Italian Dressing

3/4 cup Balsamic vinegar
3/4 cup olive oil
2 tsp Italian Herb Seasoning by Tupperware.

Mix together in Quick Shake Container. Keep in refrigerator. Take out of fridge a few minutes before using to allow the olive oil to return to liquid.

Tupperware Birthday Savings!

Another Must Have from Tupperware is the Quick Shake Container.

It's a classic for making instant puddings, dressings and marinades. I have two in my kitchen and I'm going to order at least one more. Currently, I have one in my fridge with homemade Italian Dressing. I also use it for blending eggs, oil and water when I'm making brownies, cakes or pancakes. The Quick Shake Container is also great for scrambled eggs.

Another great Birthday Sale item is the Super Cereal Storer. I buy our cereal at Costco and then put in my Super Cereal Storers. They keep the cereal fresh and bug-free. They also keep your cabinets organized.

Chess Squares

1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter, softened
1 egg, slightly beaten*

1 box (1 lb.) powdered sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten*
1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened

Preheat oven to 350 Deg. Combine cake mix, butter, and 1 egg and pat into a 9x13 dish. Mix 3 eggs and cream cheese, adding the powdered sugar last and blending thoroughly. Pour that on top of the crust mixture. Bake for 35-40 min, or until there's a nice, golden brown color on the top.

Easy Cinnamon Crescent Rolls

2 8 oz cans Crescent Rolls
1/4 c. butter, melted
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 teas. Cinnamon-Vanilla Seasoning Blend by Tupperware
1 c. powdered sugar
2 T milk

Preheat oven to 350 deg. Roll out Crescent Roll dough into rectangle; pinch perforations together with fingers.
Mix brown sugar and Cinnamon-Vanilla. Brush Crescent roll dough with butter and sprinkle with 1/2 of brown sugar mixture. Roll-up from short end, pinching perforations as needed. Cut in 5 slices. Place slices into stoneware baker from Pampered Chef. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until top is golden.
Mix powdered sugar and milk together ~adding milk until desired consistency~ and drizzle over warm rolls.

Earlier this week, I experienced one of the many benefits of having grains sealed in Tupperware Modular Mates and Super Cereal Storers. Southwest Chipotle Dip

8 oz. sour cream
1 1/2 Tbsp Southwest Chipotle Seasoning

Mix sour cream and seasoning together.

Serve with veggies in Serving Center Set. It's perfect for taking veggies and fruit to picnics or barbequies. Just flip the cover over and fill with ice to keep veggies and dip cold.

Crunchy Coleslaw

l lb bag shredded cabbage
4-6 green onions with tops, diced
l pkg. Beef Ramen noodles, crushed
l cup sliced almonds, toasted
l cup salted roasted sunflower seeds

l/3 cup white vinegar
l/2 cup salad oil
1/2 cup sugar
l pkg beef flavoring from Ramen Noodles

Combine vinegar, oil, sugar and beef flavoring in QuickShake Container; Shake well; refrigerate for a few hours or overnight. Before serving, set dressing out for a few minutes until liquid looks clear.

Combine mixture of slaw, onions, noodles, almonds and sunflower seeds. Toss with dressing.

Let slaw set with dressing for about an hour before serving to allow noodles to soften.

Carrots and green peppers maybe added as well.

Montreal Steak Marinade

3/4 C olive oil
3 Tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
1/2 Tbsp minced garlic

Mix ingredients together in Quick Shake Container by Tupperware. Put steaks in Season-Serve Container and pour marinade over steaks. Flip container a couple of times, then put in refrigerator at least 8 hours or preferably overnight.

I have used this on New York Strips, Rib-eyes and Sirloin steaks.
Last summer, I marinated steaks, vacuum-sealed them in my FoodSaver and then froze them. We took them to the beach and cooked them in our condo. Not only were they cheaper to buy at Costco than the grocery at the beach, they were much better than what my dh ordered at a couple of the restaurants.

Southwestern Chicken Roll Ups

1 oz pkg frozen chopped spinach, thawed
1 envelope fajita seasoning
1/2 c chicken broth
18 oz Fajita flavored chicken breast strips, cut into bite size pieces
1 15 oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 11 oz can Mexi-corn
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
flour tortillas

Combine undrained spinach and fajita seasoning in skillet. Add broth. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir in chicken and next 3 ingredients. Simmer until cheese melts. Chill, then spread chicken mixture on tortillas and roll up like a burrito.  ~I wrap each individually in plastic wrap and chill, then before serving, unwrap and cut in half.~

This is a great recipe to take on picnics.

This is also a great filling for Quesadillas. Just brush 1 tortilla with olive oil and place down oiled side down on skillet, spread chicken mixture, sprinkle cheese and top with another tortilla, brush top of tortilla with olive oil. Cook for a couple of minutes, then flip and cook for an additional couple of minutes. Serve with sour cream and salsa.

Eww . . . How Much Grease/Fat in Ground Beef?

One of my favorite ~and most used~ kitchen tools is my Stack Cooker by Tupperware. I've had it for 15+ years. I originally bought it so that I could cook meals in my microwave, but I soon discovered what it was most handy for; browning ground beef. It only takes 6 minutes per pound, but the best thing is that it drains off the grease/fat while cooking.

This is a picture of how much grease/fat is cooked off of 1lb of ground beef. I don't get that much grease/fat off when I brown it on the stove.

The other tool that I use when I brown ground beef is from Pampered Chef. It's the Mix'n Chop.

Easy Tacos
1 lb ground beef
1 pkg taco seasoning
Sour cream
Shredded lettuce
Grated cheese
Salsa
Taco shells

Place ground beef in Colander inside of 1 3/4 qt Casserole, cover and microwave for 3 minutes. Break-up meat with Mix'N Chop and return to microwave for 3 minutes. Remove meat from colander and place in 3 qt casserole, add taco seasoning and 1/2 pouch of water. Stir well; and microwave covered for an additional 2 minutes. Serve with toppings of choice.

MUFA Oatmeal

1 c old-fashioned oatmeal
2 c water
handful of raisins
pinch of salt
pinch of Cinnamon-Vanilla seasoning blend by Tupperware
handful of walnuts or pecans, coarsly chopped

In a saucepan combine all ingredients except nuts; bring to boil. Turn heat down and cook for 3 minutes.
Meanwhile, toast nuts in a small fry pan over medium heat. No need to add oil. When oatmeal is ready, add toasted nuts, brown sugar and a little milk.

I LOVE my Tupperware!

It has finally cooled off here in Memphis. It actually feels like November should. Since it was cool, I decided to make MUFA Oatmeal for breakfast, so I went to my cabinet and pulled out my oatmeal that is stored in a Tupperware Super Oval Modular Mate. To my surprise, ~and horror~ I had critters flying around in it. I am so glad that it was it was in Tupperware. Otherwise, i would have been cleaning out the entired cupboard instead of just that container.
