Just doing my little bit to help Santa.
Here is a link for 1/2 Price spa Stocking Stuffers. Great to give to Christmas hostesses, co-workers, friends or as a way to say Thank You to your favorite helper at the bank, grocery store or Starbucks.
Merry Christmas!

December 1st - Beginning the Celebration of Christ
Twas’ the First of December
When all through Our land,
Many Christians were praying,
But not taking a Stand.
The PC Police, they had taken away,
the “reason for Christmas”; – and no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds, and Wise Men, and Angels and things.
It might hurt people’s feelings, the teachers would say,
for December 25th is just another “Holiday”.
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit,
Shoving folks to the floor and trying to get it!
CD’s from Madonna, An X BOX, an I-pod,
Something was changing, that something’s quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa,
In hopes to sell books by a: Franken & Fonda.
As Targets were hanging their trees upside down,
At Lowe’s the word Christmas – was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny’s and Sears
You won’t hear the word Christmas; it won’t touch your ears.
Inclusive, and sensitive, Di-vers-i-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter,
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they diminished our faith,
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.
The true gift of Christmas dispatched and discarded,
The reason for season, stopped before It started.
So as you celebrate ‘Winter Break’ under your ‘Dream Tree’,
Or sipping your Starbucks, consider with me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say,
Then shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, not Happy Holiday!
If the person who hears just stares with a linger,
You can give em’ a wink, but I’ll give em the finger.

Merry Christmas!
We are in the midst of the Christmas season. 2009 has been a tough year for most, if not all, of us. Some of us have lost our jobs, lost family members, or had other family crises. Financially and emotionally it's been a hard year, BUT no matter what has happened in 2009, Christmas reminds us that we are important to God. He loves us so much, that He sent the Perfect Gift to us, Jesus Christ. While I love all the Christmas fun ~shopping, baking, getting together with friends and family~, what I love about Christmas the most is WHO we are celebrating.
One of my friend's daughters wrote this to Santa. "DEAR SANTA, I LOVE CHRISTMAS WHEN YOU GET TOYS. BUT THE BEST THING OF ALL IS JESUS. HE IS THE ONE THAT GAVE US CHRISTMAS. HE WAS THE ONE WHO WAS BORN ON CHRISTMAS. EVERY BODY LOVES CHRISTMAS. BUT THE BEST THING OF CHRISTMAS IS JESUS. I THINK [JUST THINK] THAT SOME PEPOLE LIKE CHRISTMAS BUT HATE JESUS."
As we go about the hustle & bustle of Christmas, let's remember that the best gift we can give is the gift of God's love to our family and friends ~and strangers~.
